Green Building Academy

The vision for the Green Building Academy emerged from a collaboration between YouthBuild South Africa, AMANZI - Water to Schools, The Wiltons Foundation and Ecosan Cape, as well as strategic partners and local stakeholders.

The goal of the initiative is to address critical needs within the South African youth development sector while simultaneously advancing the use of climate-smart technology in the construction industry.

The Green Building Academy (GBA) will train Eastern Cape youth in the application and implementation of green building and construction technologies using an integrated approach that will include vocational training, community service (building or refurbishment of community structures) and career/personal coaching in preparation for employment or entrepreneurship.
